Configuring 0845 Dialup - Windows 2000

1. First, click on Start, then go to Settings, then to Network and Dial-up Connections. You should have a window with an icon labelled "Make new connection" and possibly some other icons for any network connections or other ISPs you have installed. Double click on the icon labelled "Make new connection". Click the Next button to progress to the next stage.
2. Within this screen, make sure that Dial-up to the Internet is the selected option, and click Next.
3. Click on the option stating the you wish to set up your connection manually, and then click Next.
4. On the next screen, make sure that the option to connect through a phone line and modem is selected, and then click Next
5. On this screen, take the tick out of the box labelled "Use area code and dialing rules", and in the telephone number box, enter 0844 057 0709. When you have done this, click Next to continue.
6. Enter the username and password that you chose into the relevant boxes, and then click Next.
7. Now, you must give the connection a name. Enter "Connection to ProWeb" in the box, and then click Next.
8. When you are asked if you want to set up your mail account now, select No, and then click Next. Set up of e-mail is covered in a separate guide.
9. On this screen, take the tick out of the box, otherwise windows will attempt to dial up to the ProWeb connection Immediately, and then click Finish.
10. The box will now close. Congratulations! you are now ready to use ProWeb's dial up service!
11. To connect to ProWeb, double click the icon labelled "Connection to ProWeb"
