Configuring 0845 Dialup - Windows XP (Home & Professional)

1. Firstly, click on the Start button, and then click on the Control Panel button. Click on "Network Connections".
2. There may be additional dialup / network icons on this screen, depending on if you have any other network connections. Click on the icon at the left, labelled Create a new connection.
3. Click Next
4. Make sure that the option to configure the internet connection manually is selected, and click Next.
5. Select the option labelled "Connect using a dial-up modem", and click Next.
6. You need to name the internet connection now. Type Proweb into the box, as shown, and click Next.
7. You will now be asked for the telephone number you wish to dial. Enter 0844 057 0709. When you have done this, click Next to continue
8. On this screen, select to make the connection available to everyone, and click Next.
9. In this box, enter the user name and password, as supplied when you set your account up. Click Next to continue.
10. We advise that you tick the box to place a shortcut on the desktop, as this makes it easier to find the connection. Click Finish to close the wizard.
11. You can now close the network connections window, and return to the desktop. Double click the Proweb connection icon on the desktop to connect to Proweb.
